Angarika Chaturthi Dates - 2016 -2020
Every month, Sankashti chaturthi is observed on chaturthi (fourth day) of the krishna paksha (dark fortnight).
Prime deity of this day is lord Ganesha.
Angarika is also worshiped on this day.
* Angarika Chaturthi is a day, when a Sankashti Chaturthi comes on a Tuesday. Angarika Chaturthi is considered highly auspicious for the devotees of ganesh.
* Devotees observe the Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat on Angarika Chaturthi. Devotees observe fasting for the whole day and after seeing the moon, perform Ganapati or Ganesha Puja. After the puja is done, the offering that is made to Lord Ganesha is eaten as dinner.
* Devotees believe that by observing the Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat they are freed from any Sankat or difficulty.
